Happy Belated National Puzzle Day

Happy Belated National Puzzle Day everyone. January 29th is the obscure holiday of National Puzzle Day in the U.S.

Now that's some trivia - I didn't know that! I could have posted an extra puzzle on my blog.

How long has that day existed? I just tried to find out and it appears noone really knows if it even actually exists or is just an internet rumour.

I heard about it on a few random web sites, but never got a definitive answer. Like that reference you posted, most sites indicate it's not an actual national holiday. But it does seem to have been around for at least 5 or 6 years if not many, many more.
