Congratulations to Laurence of
Vexus Puzzle Design - as of today, Monday, he has his puzzles published in The Times (UK) newspaper, which is a fantastic achievement! Lest we forget, it was The Times that first propelled Sudoku to its international popularity, albeit with more than a little help from Wayne Gould. Anyway, today's paper contained not just one but two of Laurence's
Lexica word/logic puzzles - you can see the clipping on
his site in the news section if you want to try them out right away.
As you might know, Laurence has been kind enough to contribute some of his original logic puzzles to the last few issues of
Sudoku Xtra, so you can for example try out two of his other types (
Isolate and
Klump) in
Sudoku Xtra issue 4.
His puzzles have also appeared in The Daily Mail for almost exactly a year now, and they've been in Puzzler's titles for a long time.
